About Me "Debinator" became my official nickname as I overcame my fear of the ocean to become a SCUBA diver. For many years, people have asked me how we plan our travels, tips to make things easier, how to choose the "right" airline, where I find the deals.

I have been a military brat my entire life, and it was living the brat's life that resulted in my love of travel. When the Air Force sent us to my second home (Germany), we decided it would be "a four year vacation interrupted by work."

Our frequent travels have taken us to more countries than states. You never know when you will find us in the Philippines, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Indonesia, South America or the Antarctic.

Not only do I love to travel, I also love to talk about my travels--including tips on how to get there, where to stay, and things to do. I usually avoid big cities and tourist traps, you can to, simply "Be a traveler, not a tourist."
